Unlike the PS4, where we don’t know much, the new firmware for the PS5 comes with a slightly more detailed changelog. The improvements mainly focus on activities and parental controls.The update therefore brings better visibility of activities, which are now displayed in full on their maps with spoilers automatically hidden. Unicode 16.0 support has been introduced, new emojis are now available, and a parental control feature has been added. A new setting allows you to restrict communication and user-generated content. It’s also possible to keep the default settings by “customizing” the display. As with the PS4 version, Sony announced it has improved the usability of certain screens. Sony has also added a centralized option for users to sign up for the beta program.
