Recently the PS5 hack has been extended to firmwares 5.xx, 6.xx and 7.xx, so here is an update for PSX 2 PS5 bringing support for these new firmwares.
Indeed, the first version only worked with firmware 2.xx to 4.xx and gave an error when installing on 5.xx or higher.
With this version 1.1 you will now have the possibility to choose which emulator to use according to your firmware. You will have the choice between 2 emulators:
But that’s not all, I also added multi-disc, which will allow you to convert your games contained on several CDs, but be careful only games requiring saving at the end of a CD will be compatible (like Final Fantasy 7 for example).
It still includes links to my tweeter (Kaneda icon), my Paypal (settings icon), my tutorial video (youtube logo) and finally the most important, the LibCrypt codes (magnifying glass).
This last link (the magnifying glass) therefore points to the LibCrypt codes which will allow you to unlock certain games like Dino Crisis or Resident Evil 3 Nemesis (explanations in my tutorial video below).
You will also find in the .rar of this news. A small batch that will help you merge your .bins into a single .bin in order to then use PSX 2 PS5 v1.1 but also to create the .toc.
This last file (.toc) is important for some games like Tekken, without this file your game will work but without music, hence its usefulness.
I also added a “dependency” folder including Python v3 and install_pillow.bat which are mandatory to launch my tool, so you will need to install both before launching the tool the first time. But also and very importantly, check the PATH box in python before installing it, otherwise you will have errors when compiling your FPKG.
