If you’re a PS Vita fan, you know the console’s incredible potential, revealed several years ago by the HENkaku exploit. Until now, activating HENkaku on firmwares 3.60 to 3.74 required logging into a specific website via the built-in browser.

But this era is coming to an end! Developer Yoti has just released the final version of psv_esphaku v2.0, an ingenious project that allows you to activate HENkaku without an internet connection, directly from a small, low-cost development board: the NodeMCU , a development board equipped with an ESP8266.

In a nutshell, psv_esphaku turns your NodeMCU card into a portable, standalone web server. Once configured, it creates a Wi-Fi network that your PS Vita connects to. Then, simply open the console’s browser for the HENkaku exploit to activate automatically, without going through the web.

This is a huge leap forward in portability and ease of use.

What do we need?

– A PS Vita (all models) with firmware 3.60 to 3.74 (3.60 or 3.65 / 3.67 / 3.68 / 3.69 / 3.70 / 3.71 / 3.72 / 3.73 / 3.74)

– A NodeMCU card (or equivalent ESP8266)

– A USB cable for powering the NodeMCU module

– A PC to flash the firmware onto the development board

The release of Yoti’s psv_esphaku 2.0-final is not just an update, but a real improvement in the user experience for the entire PS Vita community. It further decentralizes and simplifies access to in-house features, making the process more robust and independent, and most importantly, the program is now compatible with 3.60 HENkaku, 3.65-3.74 HENlo, and VitaShell 2.05.
